Green Tea Cuisine in Bangor

My favourite restaurant. Finally a restaurant that knows what they're doing. The food always comes out consistent and fresh, the servers are always very professional and polite, and the menu selection is great. Oh and the atmosphere is very nice, tasteful, and elegant. The prices are comparable to a typical Chinese-American restaurant but the quality is the best I've seen amongst all the east-Asian restaurants I've been to. I ordered takeout, however the inside of the restaurant is very nice... authentic! The food was amazing! Will definitely be taking the whole family in to dine next time.

Absolute Banger of an establishment. The wait staff were formal with just the right amount of friendly to make anyone comfortable. The atmosphere is great I especially enjoyed the choice of classical music towards the later half of the night. The food was spot on fantastic every dish was flavorful,aromatic, and fresh. The food was also very prompt and I was never without a drink. Absolute great choice if you're looking for a place to go out and have a good time!And the green tea was perfect!☆

One of the best sushi restaurants in the world. I travel extensively and am fortunate to have had sushi in many countries known for fine dining and sushi. The fish here is always top quality, very fresh, and beautifully presented. The price is reasonable and portions are generous. The ambience is quiet or lively depending on the day, but never overwhelming. The staff is very polite and provide excellent service. I will always come back here when I come through Bangor.

Freshest sushi in the area, a great hangout for families, Date night, dinner. They have tables, booths, and rooms for larger parties. Order to go for a quick lunch, no delivery. They serve a variety of different sushi, sashimi, maki and special rolls. They have Thai dishes, Japanese dishes, Chinese food, and it all tastes amazing. Been going here regularly for three years and will continue for as long as they're open!

Very good food and very good service. The hand rolls were a bit to salty for my taste, but still very good. That's the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars. The Tuna dumplings were absolutely GREAT!!!!

This was my fourth time there. Each time I have been there it has been a good experience. The staff there were professional and polite. The food tasted amazing, plus the plating was aesthetically pleasing. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. I will love to go back again.

Great atmosphere, wait staff is excellent. All I've ever had is the sushi and it's fantastic. I really like the specialty rolls.

Very enjoyable. Great atmosphere, tasty food, reasonable prices. I enjoyed the general tso's tofu as a vegetarian.

Atmosphere is a bit lacking, some options aren't amazing, but dang, what they get right, they nail! Sushi was perfectly on point, and tons of veggie and gluten free options clearly displayed on the menu make this a great choice for those with dietary specifications. The sweet potato roll was fantastic and my new favorite :) Expect to pay >$10 per person, but prices are fair.

The food is really good. The service is really great but sort of slow not sure if that's the servers most likely it's the kitchen staff. Takeout orders often get convoluted.

Exquisite experience...the waiter was effusively polite, the atmosphere was traditional Japanese 👍, and the food was amazing. The sushi rolls came out warm, with the battered tempura veggies still crispy. The wasabi was fresh, which married well with the quality soy sauce. There's a lot to admire and enjoy; highly recommended!

Love it! I order frequently to go, their manager is very warm and treat their regular customers well (I got an almanac today). We like the cooked rolls, fried rice. They also sell a very tasty japanese soda that we haven't found elsewhere.

The servers were timely and well mannered. The food was top notch. Not only looked beautiful but the flavor is excellent as well.

The sushi is great. The Japanese cuisine is not as good as kobe which is down the road from here. The interior is gorgeous and it's very peaceful and quiet.

Very cool place to eat, and the variety of sushi, sashimi, and nigiri is second to none for the greater Bangor area.

The food is phenomenal, but I think the owner is greedy because I've NEVER paid for tea at any restaurant in Massachusetts and New York. I thought the whole time it s free and in to of that they'll offer you tea but you'll only get one cup per person (price is already there for each cup) I asked for the entire kettle and they charged for 2 cups. Be careful.The food, wow, the food. Prices are steeper than normal and especially for this area but I can swallow paying for good food BUT NOT TEA! Get with the program, serve the people free tea, it's in your name for heaven's sake! BTW, nothing special about their tea. It cost them 1 star for being cheap!

Great spot! Surprised actually, very authentic good food and really good service. The set it is awesome, little booths, raised tables, good bar area.

The vietnamese rolls are yucky, nothing,in them and greasy. They were pricey at that. The sushi was good but more expensive then mirakuya in waterville who has great prices and great sushi

Great sushi! I usually take out, but will occasionally eat in. Great atmosphere and v. good service. They cater to you. Buy their VIP card if you're a frequent buyer, you wont be disappointed!

I don't give a lot of 5 start reviews, but this place deserves one! I've been here 3 times and each time had a wonderful sushi meal. Having lived in the San Francisco bay area where there are a ton of fantastic Sushi restaurants, the Green Tea Restaurant holds it's own for sure! I always sit as the sushi bar and watch the chefs making the food and was impressed with their skills and sanitary work habits. Eating raw fish requires a lot of trust in the people preparing it - and I saw nothing that turned me off.For those that don't care for raw seafood, you are in luck! There are many cooked options on the menu so you won't feel left out.The Mai Tai's are yummy too. If you are in the Bangor area and want something a little different, a little more high-end, give this place a shot.

Green tea is awesome. Me and my girlfriend come here most of the time when I visit. Great sushi at very very reasonable prices. Avocado rolls are $3! In Connecticut where we're from it would be more like $4-4.50 a roll. All very fresh and plated beautifully. I love the little private "rooms" you can get. The restaurant itself is large and beautiful. Great wait staff - the first time we came, I mentioned my dairy and soy allergy and to my surprise she brought the chef to our table to double check. We'll keep coming!

Food was good and the staff was great. The facility was clean and the booths with enclosures allowed for greater separation/distancing than a normal restaurant setting.

Fresh food with a different than normal taste. I would say a must try if you haven't been. Decent portions and we'll prepared. Employees are beyond nice and very accommodating. Clean restaurant that's well maintained and different but very neat set up. This is not your normal American Chinese restaurant or food well worth the try.

Amazing food. Best I have had in years. Wonderful quiet atmosphere. Will come again.

Food was excellent- (Dumplings!!!!) Waitress was super. Very nice atmosphere.

The atmosphere is wonderful, the wait staff Chealsey was amazing. BUT the food was poor, very. It was deflating! We had a small appetizer crab Ragoon had no filling, chicken fingers are very small and over cooked. The chicken wings were coated and small. Gravy for egg foo young was overly salted horrible. Rice had no flavor and was cold. To top it off the tray leaked all over my slacks and ruined them. I am sticking to Oriental Garden

Great atmosphere! Different seating choices and types. Private rooms fill up fast, call location for reservations!Great service, do not be in a hurry. Savor the flavors of the many items on the menu!Prices are fair and many orders can serve 2 - 3 depending on level of appetite!Will visit again.

Food quality excellent, portion size meh. Service good and prompt. In booth they have a call your server button. I will be going here again.

Green Tea offers a unique dining experience in Bangor. Cozy and quiet atmosphere. Lots of food choices. Very affordable! Went for lunch and spent less than $15

Wonderful food, fantastic atmosphere. Specifically the fried pork dumpling appetizer, spicy tuna tempura roll and green tea mochi ice cream were exceptional! The only minor problems I had was the price for the teriyaki steak over noodles and veggies (currently sitting at almost $19) and the lack of noodles in said dish especially for the price. Overall a great experience, I wish I would have gone sooner, as I will now be a regular customer!

Would rate a zero if possible. Got take out sashimi and it is literally paper thin, not enough to fill up a bird. An incredible waste of money and time leaving me very dissatisfied and hungry. Don't know why this place has a high rating. I don't even rate places usually but im so upset I needed to do SOMETHING.

I love coming here. The staff is wonderful the food is great and the building is clean.I ordered two lunches, a special, a dessert, two special drinks and I spent 27.00.

The service and food are equally incredible. If you like a little spicy, try the Sexy Jalapenos for an appetizer!!! The walnut shrimp is absolutely amazing as well. It's served over sliced honeydew melon, which sounds weird, but absolutely works! Definitely reccomend this place.
